BROOKFIELD CENTRAL GIRLS AND BROOKFIELD ACADEMY GIRLS ARE STATE CHAMPIONS!

June 17, 2017 was a great day for soccer in the Elmbrook United Soccer community. Congratulations to the Brookfield Central Girls for winning the Div 1 state soccer championship and the Brookfield Academy Girls for winning the Div 4 state soccer championship. Congratulations also goes out to Elmbrook United soccer coach,and Technical Director John Burke and the Catholic Memorial Girls to their Div 3 state championship win today as well.

TAYLORE DELONG COMMITS TO CLARKE UNIVERSITY IN DUBUQUE, IA

Taylore DeLong Commits to Clarke University

Taylore became a member of the Elm Grove Soccer Club during her U-13 season. She was part of the u13 and u14 teams that were 112-12-8, won 10 Tournament Championships and made the 2014 semi-finals at the WI State Cup. She also played on the 2015 and 2017 teams which made it to the WI State Cups Finals.

Playing for Greendale High School, she has been selected as Woodland All-Conference in all three of her seasons as a midfielder and as a forward. She was named Honorable Mention as a forward to the 2017 Journal Sentinel All Area Team. She led her high school team in both scoring and assists her sophomore and junior seasons.She holds the Greendale High School Girls Soccer record for most goals “33” scored in a season. Taylore is also a team co-captain on her high school team.

Taylore will be attending Clarke University in the Fall of 2018 upon her graduation from Greendale HS. Congratulations Taylore and looking forward to one more great year of club soccer with EBU!


ELIZABETH BUECKERS COMMITS TO INDIANA UNIVERSITY – PURDUE UNIVERSITY – INDIANAPOLIS (IUPUI)

Elizabeth played for EGSC since 2013, which included two state final appearances and one state semifinal appearance while being a MRL participant each season.

She attends and plays for Wauwatosa East High School. Elizabeth was leading scorer in 2015, 2016, and 2017 while being voted Team MVP 2016 and 2017. As a Red Raider in the Greater Metro Conference, she has been named Second Team All-Conference in 2015, First Team All-Conference in 2016 and 2017 while being the GMC leading scorer in 2017. She was also honored as Honorable Mention All State and All-Area in 2016, First Team All-State and All-Area in 2017, GMC Player of the Year Runner-Up in 2017. She was a major part of leading Wauwatosa East to WIAA Division 2 State Championship game in 2017 as a team captain and will be a team captain in 2018 as well.

Elizabeth will be attending IUPUI in Indianapolis, IN upon her graduation in 2018. Can’t wait to have one more club season together with EBU!


ALEX MIRSBERGER COMMITS TO MARQUETTE UNIVERSITY

Alex has played for EGSC since he was 8 years old. Over the past four seasons, Alex has played for Coach Troy Dusosky for what will now be the EBU U19B who recently won the 2017 U18B State Cup Championship and participated in the Region II Championships. Alex and his team have participated in the prestigious National League as well as the MRL Premier 1 division. They also were 2016 State Cup Finalists as well as 2016 Region II Semifinalists.

Alex will be a four year starter for Brookfield Central HS. During the 2015 season, he was All-Conference Honorable Mention. As a junior in 2016, Alex was First Team All-Conference, First Team All Area, and First Team All-State while also being named team MVP and leading his team to a WIAA State Semifinal appearance.

Alex has committed to play for Marquette University Men’s Soccer in Milwaukee, WI as a member of their 2018 recruiting class. Looking forward to seeing you with EBU one last club year! Congratulations Alex!


AUTUMN BERGEMANN COMMITS TO TRINITY CHRISTIAN COLLEGE, PALOS HEIGHTS, IL

Autumn has played for EGSC since 2012, and was part of 2016 State Final and 2014 State Semifinal teams. She is currently playing for Coach Dusosky and the Elmbrook United U19G Elite as a defender.

While playing for Catholic Memorial HS, she has helped the Crusaders win 3 State Championships in 2015, 2016, and 2017 under the tutelage of EBU Coach John Burke. She had received recognition as both honorable mention and 2nd team all conference in the Classic 8. Autumn has also been honored as an all-academic award winner her first three seasons.

Autumn will attend Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois following her graduation in 2018. Congratulations Autumn!


CATIE CARUSO COMMITS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF SIOUX FALLS

Catie has played for EGSC since 2012, and was part of 2014 & 2016 state final and 2014 state semifinal teams. She is currently playing for Coach Dusosky and the Elmbrook United U19G Elite.

While playing for Greendale high school, she has been a starter all three years, and named co-captain last season. As a freshman in 2015, she was a starter on the sectional finalist team. She was named to Woodland Conference 2nd team all-conference 2017, and Honorable mention all-conference 2015 & 2016.

Catie will be attending the University of Sioux Falls after graduating in 2018. She is going to Double Major in Education and Special Education. She will then continue her education to become an Occupational Therapist.

BRANDI THOMSEN COMMITS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI

 

Brandi played for EGSC since 2007 which included being a team captain from 2012-2016 while being a part of the 2014 and 2016 EGSC WYSA State Cup finalist teams and making semi-final appearances in 2014 (spring) and 2015.

She is also a co-captain of the Brookfield Central High School girls soccer team who recently won the 2017 WIAA D1 state championship (first state championship since the four peat which ended in 2005). As a Lancer, Brandi was named to the WSCA second team all state in 2016 and was honored as WSCA first team all state in 2017. She was also named to the Journal Sentinel first team all area in 2016 and 2017, and was nominated for Journal Sentinel POY in 2017. Through her play in the Greater Metro Conference, she was selected to the GMC first team in 2016 and 2017 and was honored as the GMC Player of the Year in 2017.

Brandi will be attending the University of Cincinnati following her graduation in 2018. Congratulations Brandi and looking forward to one more club season with EBU!


SAM GARCIA COMMITS TO UPPER IOWA UNIVERSITY

Sam Garcia was a 2X 1st team all Conference pick,  a 2X Conference Champion, Captain of the Oconomowoc High School team.  He won state with Coach Troy Dusosky and the U18B team at Elm Grove in June of 2017.  The team finished 5th in the National League in 2017 and 2nd in the MRL Premier 1 division.  Sam has committed to play at Upper Iowa University in Fayette,  Iowa next year.  Congratulations Sam!


 SARAH PASTERNAK COMMITS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS

Sarah PCongratulations to Sarah Pasternak on committing to the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota! Sarah has been playing BSA soccer since Kindergarten and will be on the University of St. Thomas women’s soccer team as a goal keeper (GK) starting in 2017. Sarah plans to continue her education by studying secondary education and health and physical education. She’s been a Varsity GK at Brookfield Central for the past three seasons. In her first season as a starter, BCHS won the Greater Metro Conference and took 2nd place at Regionals in the WIAA State Tournament and she received All-Conference Honorable Mention. In her second season as a starter, BCHS won the Greater Metro Conference and Regionals and took 2nd place at Sectionals losing to WIAA State Champion DSHA and she received All-Conference Second Team.Congratulations Sarah on your academic and athletic success!


LILI BERG VERBALLY COMMITS TO THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY

Lili plays on the BSA U18 Girls Red team and will play Division 1 Women’s College Soccer at Ohio State in the Fall of 2018. Lili plans to study business or political science. Lili also plays for her high school at Catholic Memorial in Waukesha.

SARAH PASTERNAK SELECTED FOR WYSA MIKE KABANICA SCHOLARSHIP!

Congratulations to Sarah Pasternak (BSA and Brookfield Central High School Goal Keeper) for earning a 2017 Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association Mike Kabanica Scholarship! The selection committee was impressed with her hard work and dedication to soccer, academics, and community outreach. Sarah will be continuing her studies and playing soccer for the University of St. Thomas in the fall. Great work Sarah! @WYSAfriend
