WYSA CANCELS SPRING 2020 SEASON (4/30)

Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) has announced its decision to cancel the Spring 2020 season due to the risks associated with the COVID-19 virus.  Unfortunately, this means that the ODP, First Touch, State Cup, and Recreational leagues are all officially canceled. Please click here to view WYSA’s updated statement.

This is disappointing news for everyone involved. The coaches, staff, and board all miss the sights and sounds of kids enjoying soccer and wish there were a way to play. However, we must respect the decision of the WYSA, and do agree that our top priority is to keep our children, staff, and fans safe. We look forward to the day when this will be behind us and we can get back to the game we all love.

EBU has a Zoom meeting scheduled with all Waukesha District clubs this evening and a Board meeting scheduled early next week. Please allow the club some time to discuss our next steps internally and to establish a refund/credit policy.

EBU would like to take this opportunity to thank our volunteer coaches for their support, our select and academy coaches for organizing virtual practices to keep our kids engaged, our parents for encouraging their children to stay active despite continued uncertainty about this season, our players for their continued enthusiasm, and most importantly, our club members who are essential workers risking their health to keep our community going.

We will be in contact soon with more information for all members.
